The Haslemere Neighbourhood Plan was formally adopted by Waverley Borough Council on 12 November 2021 and will now be used to help determine planning applications in the Neighbourhood Plan area (Grayswood, Haslemere, Beacon Hill and Hindhead).

The Referendum took place on 7 October 2021. Of the 2738 ballot papers counted, 87.4% voted for the plan to be adopted.

20 August 2021 – The Referendum on whether to adopt the modified Haslemere Neighbourhood Plan will take place on 7 October 2021.
10 August 2021 – The Independent Examiner’s modifications have been accepted by Waverley Borough Council, who have published their decision statement and they are now arranging for a referendum to take place.
13 July 2021 – The Independent Examination has concluded and there have been a number of modifications to the Plan as presented. Please see the report here and a correction to that report here.
April 2021 – The draft Neighbourhood Plan is now with the Independent Examiner.
