At every Full Council meeting copies of the bank reconciliations, cashbooks and income and expenditure by budget heading are approved. The Council is obliged to publish all payments over £500 on its website. Click below to see payments and receipts so far for this financial year and for the last financial year.

Audit
The financial management of the Council is reviewed by an independent internal auditor, April Skies Accounting Ltd, and is examined by our external auditor PKF Littlejohn LLP. Their address is: 1 Westferry Circus, Canary Wharf, London E14 4HD.

Budget
Each year in September, the Council starts a Budget setting procedure to determine the budget for the next financial year. To view the 2022-2023 budget click here.

Financial Regulations
Haslemere Town Council is responsible in law for ensuring that its financial management is adequate and effective. The Council has a sound system of internal control in place which facilitates the effective exercise of the Council’s functions, including arrangements for the management of risk.
These Financial Regulations govern the conduct of financial management by the Council and include arrangements for the:
- management of risk
- the prevention and detection of fraud and corruption
