Scotland Lane (D5524) and Tennysons Lane (D5527) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Scotland Lane (D5524) Haslemere as extends from its junction with (D5527) Tennysons Lane and for a distance of 50 metres in a westerly direction; (b) Tennysons Lane (D5527) Haslemere as extends from its junction with (D5524) Scotland Lane and for a distance of 15 metres in a southerly direction. Alternative Route: (1) Scotland Lane, Haste Hill, The Common, and Blackdown Lane,
or this route in reverse; (2) Tennysons Lane, Jays Lane, Jobsons Lane, (B2131) Petworth Road, and Blackdown Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate electrical utility works for, or on behalf of Connect It Utilities Service Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 11 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 14 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
