Inspector Donaldson Commemoration

On Sunday 27th July, Haslemere Town Council proudly commemorated Inspector Donaldson Day, a special event honouring the legacy of a brave local hero.

The commemoration was hosted by Reverend David Wilbraham, who was joined by the Deputy Mayor of Haslemere, Cllr Jacquie Keen, Henry, Jean Pelham and Jane Matthews (descendants of Inspector Donaldson). Also in attendance was Rev Justin Manley-Cooper

We were also honoured by the presence of Superintendent Adam Smith and Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner PCC Ellie Vesey-Thompson.

During the proceedings Henry Pelham presented a cheque for £1,100 to Rev David Wilbraham in support of the Police Remembrance Trust—a touching gesture of remembrance.

Thank you to all who joined us in remembering Inspector Donaldson’s enduring legacy. 💙
