Haslemere Town Council completes the lease of SANG land by Sturt Farm development

We are delighted to confirm that the Council has entered into a 999 year lease with Stonewater for the land lying to the east of the new Sturt Road development. This Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) land is designed to provide an enjoyable natural environment for recreational use and is open to the public all year round.

Under the terms of the lease Haslemere Town Council is responsible for the management of the SANG, to include grounds maintenance, signage and the emptying of the dog foul bins.

Pedestrian access is off footpath 35 (Sturt Road to Longdene Road/Hedgehog Lane).  There are a number of circular walks and spectacular views over Lynchmere Commons Nature Reserve.
